This is for James, Pink, and I suppose any/all South African players I met at Worlds in Vancouver.
I really had a great time with you guys and I wear the SA jersey I traded/bought, all the time. I think my favorite thing about you guys is that drinking game you play after competition is all said and done, where you give shots out for good and bad play. I took that tradition back to my club team and everyone has loved it. It has caused a few hangovers here or there (to say the least) but the tradition was a great team building activity, so for that I think you.
Thanks for coming across my blog. I actually wanted to do a story about SA ultimate because I found the racial/socioeconomic issues players must deal with very fascinating. I know that this issue is well understood in spheres outside Ultimate but I found the issue of "We'd be so much better if our good players could actually afford to come" scenario very compelling.
